This is a new exciting trio formed in 2022, combining older and newer talents. These exceptional musicians play a mix of more structured compositions and free improvisations and revel in interacting with each other, changing up the roles and taking the music to new and unexpected places.
International jazz pianist and composer Chris Cody has performed extensively throughout the USA, Europe, Africa and Australia while based in Paris for many years. He has released 12 CDs of his own music, and also collaborated with jazz masters around the world, including Roy Hargrove and Herb Geller.
Alto saxophonist Tess Overmyer is a rising star in the Sydney scene, leads her own quintet, and is a sought-after side person in Sydney jazz ensembles, including Monica Trapaga and Mingus Among Us.
Bassist Lloyd Swanton has performed and recorded with his own bands, The Necks and The Catholics, as well as Bernie McGann, Alister Spence, Sandy Evans, Clarion Fracture Zone, The Benders, and The Coolerators.
