Orange Winter Jazz Festival are excited to offer our guest three additional individually ticketed events across the festival weekend.

Opening Night Party

Friday 9 June

Dust off your groove shoes for a rustic dance party with a West African twist. Legendary Malian blues guitarist Moussa Diakite and his band Wassado is favourite at festivals around the world. He’ll be raising the Canobolas Dance Hall roof alongside DJ Ken who’ll be spinning global rhythms long into the night. Woodfired pizza and bar available.

Doors and food service from 6.00 pm Band begins at 7.30pm (75mins) DJ until 11.00 pm

Lisa Oduor-Noah @ The Agrestic Grocer

Saturday 10 June

Orange’s sublime food+ wine scene is paired with the silky vocals of Kenyan neo-soul artist Lisa Oduor-Noah in this intimate dinner/show setting. Lisa’s unique take on jazz is influenced by soul, pop, and African spiritual which combine to create uplifting performances to heal hearts and minds.

Food and beverage are sold separately. Doors open at 6 pm with music from 7.00 pm-8.45 pm.

Michelle Nicolle @ Birdie

Sunday 11 June 

Orange’s newest jazz hang, Birdie Noshery and Drinking Est. will play host to Australia’s First Lady of jazz, Michelle Nicolle at a sumptuous Jazz Lunch. This National Jazz Award winner’s effortless style brings to mind the knock-your-socks-off singers like Betty Carter or Ella Fitzgerald, yet her sound is absolutely Michelle Nicolle.

Food and beverage are sold separately. Doors open from 11.45 am. Food Service from 12.00 pm. The show begins at 1.30 pm (60mins).

The High Tone Pants + End of Festival JAM @ The Blind Pig

Sunday 11 June

That’s a wrap! Head to The Blind Pig and help us close the festival with The High Tone Pants before the band will open up the stage to visiting performers and local musicians from 9pm for an end of festival jam session. Known for their powerhouse performances and uplifting repertoire, The High Tone Pants will be performing jazz and blues greats featured on Eva Cassidy’s albums including Live at Blues Alley, Nightbird and Eva By Heart. Featuring Melissa Stanford (vocals), Danielle Pearce (vocals and keyboard), Hughie Brown (lead guitar and lap steel), Paul Burge (bass guitar) and Ebbo Brown (drums), The High Tone Pants hit the perfect note for the festival wrap!
